Heat energy
- HeatHeat is a form of energy that moves from one object to another as a result of a difference in temperature.
- Heat energyHeat energy is the result of the movement of tiny particles called atoms, molecules or ions in solids, liquids and gases.
Heat as conduction, the transfer of kinetic energy, shown at the particle level and explained in terms of temperature differences and equilibrium.

Heat transfer
The narrator explains how heat transfers to conduction, convection, radiation, and how these processes play out on Earth, in the atmosphere, and in space.

Heat is the transfer of energy from objects of different temperatures. As objects warm-up or cool down their kinetic energy changes. Kinetic energy is the energy of motion.
