We see objects when light waves bounce off their surfaces and travel toward our eyes. This behaviour of light is called reflection.

Light is essential for vision, colour perception and some aspects of health however, over the last five years, awareness of the negative consequences of both artificial light and sunlight has increased.

As a ray of light enters a lens, it is refracted; and as the same ray of light exits the lens, it is refracted again.

Lens, in optics, piece of glass or other transparent substance that is used to form an image of an object by focusing rays of light from the object.
