Key Terms
- Geographical Based on or derived from the physical features of an area.
- Geomorphic Relating to the form of the landscape and other natural features of the earth's surface;
- Hazard A danger or risk.
- Infrastructure The basic physical and organizational structures and facilities (e.g. buildings, roads, power supplies) needed for the operation of a society or enterprise.
- Landforms A landform is a natural feature of the surface of Earth. Common landforms are mountains, plateaus, and valleys.
- Landscapes All the visible features of an area of land, often considered in terms of their aesthetic appeal.
- Natural Existing in or derived from nature; not made or caused by humankind.
