Diversity is a whole greater than the sum of its parts, whichever way you conceive the concept. As our world and the individuals within it continue to evolve, so many aspects of our humanity give rise to a unique and collaborative diversity.

Imagine a world where LGBTI+ young people do not have to question if a particular industry or workplace is going to result in them having to hide who they are.

August 31 is Wear it Purple Day. And like other wonderfully purple things (Cadbury’s chocolate-bar wrapper, grape-flavoured Hubba Bubba and Prince circa 1984, just to name a few), it's pretty special.

On August 28 school students and workplaces across Australia will once again show support for same-sex attracted and gender questioning, or "rainbow" young people, by wearing purple.
